AC Milan defender Mattia Caldara is now close to returning to full fitness and has returned to training with the first-team.
Since arriving at the rossoneri in the player swap deal that involved him and Gonzalo Higuain coming to Milan and Leonardo Bonucci heading back to Juventus, Caldara has struggled with multiple injuries. He sustained two major knee injuries and that has derailed his progress.
But today, Caldara was back training with the Milan first-team on the orders of Stefano Pioli. His recovery program is now being stepped up and Caldara should be able to play first-team football once again in November.
