MLS’ Vice-President of Communications has denied “erroneous” reports that LA Galaxy striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is returning to Milan.
MLS commissioner Don Garber claimed in an interview with ESPN yesterday that Ibrahimovic was being “recruited” by Milan, the club he played for between 2010 and 2012.
There has been a lot of debate over what Garber meant by ‘recruited’, but Dan Courtemanche made it clear a transfer was not imminent.
“Despite many erroneous reports, MLS Commissioner Don Garber did not state that AC Milan was signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic,” Courtemanche wrote on Twitter.
Despite that, many replied to the tweet pointing out how the League chief had clearly suggested the veteran was on his way back to San Siro.
Zlatan’s contract with the Galaxy expires at the end of next month.
